Day 22
Today we headed to the docks to check out the U.S.S Midway Aircraft carrier. This was very cool and we really enjoyed our time here, it was great reading about and looking at the many different planes, walking through the captains cabins, the pilots briefing rooms and where the missions were planned there was even a ceremony for graduates being held on the top deck. We didn’t have long to stay as we used a meter park and and the only ones close by were only two hour parks, we were going to move the car and go back but to be honest we were both really tired from our big day at the zoo and our feet were just about giving up!
The plan was to visit Seaport village today also whilst were were close by, but I was hungry, tired and not feeling well so we headed out for some lunch and stopped to chill out for a while (planning a visit tomorrow instead) We then headed up to balboa park for a look around and what a fantastic and beautiful park it is, we took a little stroll around, but again were feeling exhausted and ready to relax and put our sore feet up.
San Diego is a great city, very chilled out. less busy and people seem in less of a rush here, I wish we had visited it earlier on or first in our travels. Today was just of those days our bodies weren’t keeping up with us and we didn’t feel like doing anything else. We got take away Chinese (yum orange chicken) for an early dinner and headed back to the hotel to eat and relax for the evening I finished up with a nice long soak in the bath and watching America’s Next Top Model.
Sorry for a boring blog, hope you enjoy the photo’s
