“It’s all the little moments that make life a big adventure…”

Here’s to new adventures in 2017! ….

…..More on that later as right now I am still sifting through the hundreds (more like thousands lol) of photos taken over Christmas and New years. So many amazing, breathtaking and pure awe views captured over those 14 days as well as so many hilarious, silly and just plain candid moments caught on camera!

Enjoy!

We arrived at Lake Louise just before sunrise and it was a perfect way to beat the crowds allowing us to really enjoy the many amazing colors thrown across the sky as well as take in the view of this famous lake fully frozen over for the winter.

There were so many amazing ice carvings all around the place, gearing up for the Ice Magic Festival at the end of January. The famous Castle on the lake, wolf, bears and First Nation Totem as well as an Ice Bar! (which we were a little too early for….)

The Icicles were in full force around the place also! Deadly beautiful ice weapons protecting the hotels all around the town.

After enjoying the morning at Lake Louise, we headed back down the Bow Valley Parkway on our way to visit the Continental Divide in an attempt to catch some wildlife on the way…. That didn’t happen, but we did catch as always some breathtaking views!

Our wonderful adventures stretched into the night  where we again went searching for Aurora, the sky was perfectly clear but it was not to be. No regrets though as we had an awesome view of the stars seeing many meteorites and listening to the extremely creepy echo’s of the ice shifting, cracking and refreezing down on Lake Minnewanka in the pitch black of night….. Thanks again to Greg for his amazing night sky photography!
